Hi everyone! My name is Makayla and I am a nursing major about to enter my very last semester at NAU. Having taken several Spanish classes at NAU before for other academic requirements, I developed an interest in Spanish early-on, which only grew with time. I had wanted to participate in the Costa Rica NAU program as soon as it was introduced to me freshman year, with my sights set on a minor. However, with my major, my academic demands grew rapidly as I progressed through my classes. Because of this, my hopes of participating in the program seemed to grow further and further away. But, I was finally able to make it a reality! I had no idea what to expect, which actually ended up making the overall experience even more special.
