Today we had “Clase de Frutas” at Fídelitas. The instructors led several classes at once, dividing everyone into different groups and classrooms. There was a massive table filled with many different fruits that I have never seen before. First, the instructor taught us different words to describe tastes in Spanish, which is a little different than it is in English. Then, the instructor would ask for two volunteers at a time. One volunteer would be blindfolded and the other would choose a fruit to give them a spoonful of. The blindfolded person would then have to point out which fruit they thought they tasted afterwards. After everyone got a turn, we were able to go up and get a serving of whichever fruits we wanted more of. Overall, it was a fun way to learn about the different fruits of Costa Rica and a nice break from our classes/homework.
